A South African consultancy built around one job: making AI useful
Cortex Harmony is an AI automation and business intelligence consultancy based in Birchleigh North, Kempton Park — on Johannesburg's doorstep and within easy reach of Pretoria and the wider Gauteng region. We work with businesses across South Africa, from Johannesburg and Pretoria to Cape Town and Durban, and we are just as comfortable working over WhatsApp and video call as around a boardroom table.
We exist because most South African businesses do not need more AI hype. They need someone to identify where automation and analytics will genuinely save hours and sharpen decisions, then build it, connect it to the systems they already use, and make sure the team actually adopts it. That is the whole job, and we do all of it: consulting and strategy, workflow automation, AI agents, dashboards and reporting, CRM and WhatsApp integration, training and ongoing support.
We work with small and mid-sized companies through to larger operations, with particular experience in healthcare, retail and finance. Whatever the industry, the pattern is familiar: capable people spending too much of their week on approvals, handoffs, reporting, follow-ups and repetitive admin that software should be handling.

Practical delivery beats big promises
The AI industry is loud. Every week brings a new tool that promises to change everything. Our philosophy is simpler: an AI project only counts if it changes how your business runs — a quote that goes out the same day, a report that builds itself, a customer who gets a useful answer at 21:00 without anyone working late.
So we are deliberately unfashionable about it. We start with the process, not the technology. We recommend proven tools over novelties, and we would rather tell you a simple fix will do than sell you a system you do not need. We scope work in phases so value shows up early, and we define success in operational terms — hours saved, faster turnaround, fewer errors, clearer numbers — before anything gets built.
Call it rand-conscious pragmatism: every solution we propose has to justify its cost in a South African business context, or we do not propose it.
